GETTING THERE

ARRIVAL & TRANSPORT

Miami International (MIA) is primary; Fort Lauderdale (FLL) is a cheaper alt 40 min north. Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens is 25–45 min from downtown by car — the Tri-Rail commuter line has a shuttle connection. Plan ahead.

For intercity travel between Miami and other host cities, see the city-to-city travel guide.

WHERE TO STAY

NEIGHBORHOODS

Brickell or Wynwood for walkability and bars; Aventura or Miami Gardens for stadium proximity; South Beach if you want the beach but expect $400+/night in June–July.

South Beach

Ocean Drive, Lincoln Road — the postcard Miami, busy and pricey.

Wynwood

Street-art district, best bars and food halls in the city.

Brickell

Financial-district high-rises, rooftops, upscale dining.

Little Havana

Cuban coffee, cigar shops, Calle Ocho — authentic and affordable.

For price ranges and booking strategy across all 16 host cities, see the WC2026 accommodation guide. Budget breakdown at what it costs to attend.

FAN ZONES

WHERE FANS GATHER

Expect official fan zones at Bayfront Park in downtown Miami and at Maurice A. Ferré Park. Wynwood bars will spill onto the streets for major matches.

See the complete WC2026 fan zones guide for all 16 cities and what to expect at FIFA Fan Festivals.

LOCAL TIPS

WHAT TO KNOW

Spanish is as common as English. Summer is hurricane-adjacent — sudden storms are normal. Sunscreen is non-negotiable. Water tours and Everglades trips are must-dos on non-match days.
